• We come to Portsmouth a lot for day trips and weekend getaways. This is our first time here but surely it will not be our last. We loved our sunny room with a view of the water and Portsmouth. We loved Lynn, our thoughtful and hospitable host. We loved the nice touches and amenities. We loved our delicious breakfast that we shared with 2 young couples. We loved their company.

  • A little break in our busy week to step back and say “life is good” – happy to do it here at your lovely inn. Thank you for your assistance and we enjoyed walking the bridge at night.

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Portsmouth Harbor Inn. Beautiful historic house, delicious home-cooked breakfasts, and easily walkable to Portsmouth and Kittery. Thank you for the hospitality and we look forward to returning for another relaxing weekend away.

  • “Thanks so much for the warm hospitality. The food was excellent and the hot tub in the snow so relaxing. We were looking for a weekend away – this was excellent. On Sunday on the rocky shores of Portsmouth we got engaged! I suspect we will return.”

  • “Another great stay – not a bad one since 2001! Great breakfast conversation with Long Island and Connecticut folk.”

  • “Thanks! Food, tea were worth the trip. Breakfast was always an event – it does not get any better! Great time of the year to be here. Strawbery Banke was a wonderful walk backwards in time. The Halloween Parade in Portsmouth was an unexpected bonus. The pictures I (we) take home will immortalize our short visit and be enjoyed by many who will never see it in person. The light thru Valora’s window in the morning and the setting of the front porch in the morning sun are just waiting for frames. !! To be continued (we will be back!)”

  • “Thanks for making our trip more comfortable and interesting. You have a lovely home.”

  • “Thank you for a wonderful stay. The weather was perfect (for a birthday weekend), breakfasts were great, as were your recommendations for local fare. Your B&B was an easy-to-find, yet hidden, jewel. I can only imagine what this area must have been like in the middle of WWII! Happy to meet up with old friends John & Diane.:

  • “My wife and I had a wonderful stay here at your lovely B&B. It was our first trip to Maine and our first stay along the way so we have a lot of expectations for our next few nights as we head u the coast at other B&B’s. Lynn you are such a gracious host and a very good cook. We will spread the word to our friends down south that may be planning a trip north to Maine. Thanks for everything.”
Michael & Maureen, Sept 2015 Reevesville, SC
  • We had such a wonderful time staying at the Inn. Lynn is a fantastic hostess with the mostess. We were absolutely amazed at how beautiful the dinning room was and was just as thrilled with our room. We stayed in the Royal George room which had outstanding views of Portsmouth. The bed was super comfy and after a day of walking around Portsmouth, we slept like babies. After a wonderful night sleep we were, again, blown away by the most fantastic breakfast. We were both taken aback when we were presented with glazed bananas as a starter followed by home made breads and eggs (she had a name for them) baked in bacon cups.... is the best way I can describe them. Another couple at the table mentioned it was about their 12th time staying at the Inn and they have yet to have the same breakfast twice. Each time blown away. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We will be back again very soon.

Also so nice to find good food within walking distance: Lunch at the Beach Pea and dinner at the Lobster in the Rough on Badger’s Island. Thank you Lynn for all your efforts and your advice and information. P.S. the hot tub is brilliant – so relaxing!”
